It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to, and invite your participation in, the 13th National Sustainable Economic Growth for Regional Australia (SEGRA) Conference which is being held from 27–29 October 2009 in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA.

The SEGRA 2009 Conference is currently seeking papers from people with a real interest and passion for not only wanting to promote a better understanding of the pressures, concerns, opportunities and issues confronting Australia's regional, rural and remote communities, but who also have innovative ideas to make regions sustainable in the long term.  SEGRA is the national forum where your ideas can be heard and can help make a real difference.

SEGRA conferences are noted for the diversity of presentations including academics from renowned universities and academic institutions, the media, government departments (local, state and federal), regional bodies, industry, industry associations and community groups.
