Participants on this study tour must wear full length trousers, long sleeved shirts and closed in shoes. Failure to comply with these health and safety guidelines will result in delegates not being allowed on sites.
Marine Industry
Geelong has a very significant marine industry with commercial operations focused on the abalone and mussel industry.
The study tour will incorporate both research facilities and commercial applications across these industries showcasing the innovative and entrepreneurial approach Geelong takes to the marine industry.
Sustainable Development
Geelong has adopted the challenges of moving to a more sustainable future with the commitment to a Low Carbon Growth Plan and a Future Proofing Geelong Project which is the subject of a spotlight session during the conference. In relation to the sit visits available there has been significant work undertaken in Geelong in water recycling and the projects which are currently under construction to deliver recycled water to both the industry and residential sectors of broader Geelong will be reviewed on the site visit.
